Truth in Immigration is a project of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF). Donations to MALDEF are tax-deductible. MALDEF is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. MALDEF does not accept government funding: we operate exclusively through contributions from private individuals, foundations, and corporations.

Work Place Giving
Now, you can give to MALDEF through your employer.
- Matching Gifts-Most corporations will match or multiply an employee’s gift to MALDEF. Ask your employer how.
- Designate MALDEF as your donor through payroll deductions, the United Way Campaign, America’s Charities, the Combined Federal Campaign (#9926) and California State Employees Charitable Campaign.

Planned Giving
Give to MALDEF through estate planning. As a planned giving donor, you are able to make larger and more significant gifts, than you every thought possible and benefit from income and tax benefits. Gifts to MALDEF’s Annual Fund allow us to deliver prompt and professional legal and educational services to Latino communities across the United States. The need is great in our community. MALDEF relies on unrestricted funds to support its litigation capacity, community outreach and educational programming and public policy work. MALDEF operates regional offices in Los Angeles, Washington, DC, Chicago, Atlanta and San Antonio with program offices in Houston and Sacramento.
